Correct headlight alignment is crucial for road safety. Especially with motorcycles such as the Tinbot RS1, it is important that the headlight is adjusted correctly to ensure optimal visibility and to be seen. In this blog post, we explain how you can easily adjust the headlight of your Tinbot RS1 yourself.

Why is correct headlight adjustment important?

What you need:

  • A screwdriver (suitable for the screw on the back of the headlight)
  • A little time and patience

Step-by-step instructions for headlight alignment on the Tinbot RS1:

  1. Preparation: Place your Tinbot RS1 on a level surface. Ideally, the motorcycle should be positioned approximately 5 to 10 meters in front of a wall or garage door. This will allow you to see exactly where the light beam hits and how you need to adjust it.

  2. Turn on the motorcycle: Start the motorcycle. As soon as the headlight comes on, you can immediately see where the beam of light is falling. It is important to keep the light on throughout the entire adjustment process.

  3. Position of the screw: The adjustment is made using a Phillips screw located on the right side of the headlight at the rear. This screw allows the headlight to be adjusted up or down.

  4. Adjusting the headlight up or down: Turn the screw clockwise to adjust the headlight upwards. This is useful if the beam is too close to the ground in front of your motorcycle and you want to shine further ahead. Turn the screw counterclockwise to adjust the headlight downwards. This is helpful if the light beam is set too high and may dazzle other road users.

  5. Check and fine-tune: Once you have adjusted the headlight, check the result. Make sure that the beam is neither too high nor too low. The perfect height is achieved when the light hits the wall at about knee height (approx. 90-100 cm) at a distance of 5 meters. This gives you good visibility without dazzling anyone.

  6. Safety note: If you are unsure or the setting does not seem optimal, do not hesitate to readjust it. It is better to invest a few extra minutes than to ride with poorly adjusted lights.

Adjusting the headlights on the Tinbot RS1 is easier than you might think and can be done in just a few simple steps. With a Phillips screwdriver and a little patience, you can adjust the headlight range so that you can ride safely and comfortably in the dark. Be sure to check the adjustment regularly, especially after bumps or long trips, to ensure optimal lighting at all times.

Stay safe on the road and enjoy the ride!
