The Hyper Bee had been teased for a while, and at the end of August, the wait was finally over. Sur-Ron’s new bike was unveiled at the Red Bull Tennessee Knockout Hard Enduro Event 2024.
A first impression
Although SUR-RON has not yet revealed the exact specifications, we now know a few things about the new model in the SUR-RON lineup. It is a relatively small bike with a 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel. These dimensions suggest that the bike is intended for younger riders, which makes perfect sense considering that Sur-Ron discontinued production of the Light Bee S this year. Impression
A new feature
The motor, which is rotated by 90° compared to other Sur-Ron vehicles, has caused quite a stir. Here, the drive is not controlled via a central shaft, but via a gearbox. At this point, we can only guess at what exactly is inside this gearbox.
Otherwise, the Hyper Bee comes with the features typical of SUR-RON, such as front and rear disc brakes, upside-down forks, an aluminum frame, and a quick-change battery. The Hyper Bee is expected to be available in Europe at the end of November. However, Sur-Ron has not yet announced a price.
