Not only do they offer outstanding performance, but they also feature numerous safety and comfort functions that make them ideal for e-bikes. <\/p>\n<p>At the heart of Sur-Ron batteries is the advanced Battery Management System (BMS). This microcomputer continuously monitors the health and performance of the battery, ensuring it functions optimally under all conditions. The BMS provides a variety of protective features and adjustments to maximize battery life and safety:  <\/p>\n<p>These include deep discharge protection and overcharge protection, overvoltage protection and undervoltage protection, automatic voltage adjustment, shutdown when parked on the side stand, and shutdown in the event of a fall.<\/p>\n<p>When tuning, it is very popular to bypass or completely remove the BMS. However, this not only has a negative effect on the service life of all electronic components, it also eliminates many important safety precautions. <\/p>\n<p>The battery of a Light Bee, for example, is designed for 500 charging cycles until it still has about 80% of its maximum capacity. With an average range of about 70 kilometers per charge, this corresponds to 35,000 kilometers. One charging cycle corresponds to a full charge. Charging the battery from 40% to 65% is only a quarter of a charging cycle. It is assumed that a Light Bee undergoes around 50 charging cycles per year.
